In short: Voices is a podcast player. We don't collect your personal information and don't sell any data. Your podcast library syncs privately through your own iCloud account. We display ads through Google AdMob, which may use your advertising identifier for personalized ads if you grant permission.
Visual Ocean Inc. ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for the Voices app. This policy applies to users worldwide, including those in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, California, and other jurisdictions with applicable privacy laws. We may introduce optional features that allow you to share your content preferences and interests to receive a more personalized experience. Participation is entirely voluntary and requires your explicit opt-in. You can withdraw at any time, and your preference data will be deleted upon request.
We may also collect anonymized and aggregated usage data in the future to understand how the app is used and which content is popular. This data will not identify individual users. If we introduce features that collect personal data beyond what is described above, we will update this policy and, where required, obtain your consent before doing so.
Apple iCloud (CloudKit)
Your podcast library syncs through Apple's CloudKit private database, encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to this data. Data may be processed in any country where Apple operates data centers. Apple's privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy
Google AdMob
Voices displays ads through Google AdMob. If you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to show personalized ads. You can deny this permission and still use the app with non-personalized ads. Voices Premium subscribers see no ads. Data may be transferred to Google servers outside the EU/EEA. Cloudflare
Our crash diagnostic and link shortener services are hosted on Cloudflare's global network. Data may be processed in any country where Cloudflare operates. Cloudflare's privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

Please note: most data we process on our servers (crash diagnostics, shared links) is anonymous and cannot be traced to a specific individual. Diagnostic data is automatically deleted after 30 days. If you can identify a specific shared link you created, we can delete it upon request. Your podcast library data is stored in your personal iCloud account, which we do not have access to — you control it directly through your device settings.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

If Visual Ocean Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. In such an event, we will notify you via a prominent notice in the app or on our website before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy. The acquiring entity will be required to honor the commitments made in this policy or obtain your consent for any material changes.
Your podcast data is stored locally on your device and in your private iCloud account (encrypted by Apple). Diagnostic data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored in a non-plaintext format on our servers. Shared link data is transmitted over HTTPS. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable measures to protect the data we process.
Voices is not directed at children under 16 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. For significant changes, we will notify users through the app.
